Cabinet Approves the Proposal of Residency Acquisition & Fundamental Reconstruction of Ahmad Shah Baba’s Grave

The cabinet of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan approved the acquisition of land residency and Haram Sara of Ahmad Shah Baba & reconstruction of his grave.

This proposal, which was jointly presented to the cabinet by the Ministry of Information and Culture and the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, includes a total of 6926 square meters of residency land and Haram Sara of Ahmad Shah Baba located in Kandahar City, with each meters of 42,000 AFN and a total price of more than 290 Million AFN and request of additional funds for its repair.

Cabinet besides approved the proposal, assigned the Ministry of Information & Culture, Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, Ministry of Finance, Independent Authority of Arazi and the Operational & Support Unit of Presidency to plan the establishment draft and construction of a large entertainment ground and fundamental reconstruction of Ahmad Shah Baba’s grave & Khurqa Mubarak with its implementation plan and present it to the presidency.

The cabinet also assigned the Ministry of Information and Culture’s nomination commission to report the renaming of Kandahar's International Airport to Ahmad Shah Baba International Airport after process to the presidency. At this meeting, the regulation draft of private higher education universities & institutions and the establishment of the Afghanistan Midwifery and Nursing Council were approved in Principe, and the relevant sections were mandated to finalize them in line with the views of the cabinet members in coordination with the relevant departments.
