Chief of Staff Kargar Chairs Meeting to Prepare for 580th Birth Anniversary of Amir Ali Sher Nawayee
Chief of Staff to the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan attends the ceremony of promoting Abdul Rashid Dostum to Marshal rank.
Today, Mohammad Shakir Kargar, Chief of Staff to the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, attended the ceremony of promoting the former Vice President Abdul Rashid Dostum to the rank of Marshal and read the decree of the President on this occasion.
The glorious ceremony, held in Sheberghan, the capital of Jowzjan province, was attended by Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation, several cabinet members, representatives of the people in the National Assembly, political and Jihadi personalities and elders, generals, officers, and government officials. The armed forces and thousands of residents of Jawzjan and other provinces were also present.
Mohammad Shakir Kargar read the decree of the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani regarding the award of the Marshall Medal to Abdul Rashid Dostum.
The Presidential Decree states: "According to paragraph 19 of Article, 64 of the Afghanistan Constitution, I award the rank of Marshall to the political figure of the country, Abdul Rashid Dostum, for his services in resolving political deadlocks and ensuring the stability of the country."
In this decree, the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan prayed to God for further success for them.
